I've been using a voicemail service from youmail.com, it works by
forwarding your unanswered calls to them. It gives access to
voicemail on the phone & online. It doesn't have the all encompassing features of Google Voice, but maybe that's a good thing.
I don't know how I feel about Google Voice and the one number for
everything (and for life?) concept, how will we ever escape the debt
collectors?
With your phone calls going through Google's computers there is
the possibility for a lot of helpful applications. When a call comes
in Google could do a search on sites like, http://800notes.com , and
tell you what other's are saying about that number.
