We've beaten our addiction to oil.
Just last summer it looked as if we'd never be able to pull away from the pump. Our only option was to keep filling our tanks to feed our insatiable demand. A few months later and Americans are using less gas then in the past decade.

Besides choosing a President on November 4th Marylanders will also be choosing whether to allow slots. To be honest I haven't decided which way to vote on this. I'm wondering if anyone out there has feelings one way or the other.
